JROTC is a nation-wide program that focuses on the following:
| 1. | To appreciate the ethical values and principles that underlie good citizenship. |
| 2. | To develop leadership potential, while living and working cooperatively with others. |
| 3. | To be able to think logically and to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing. |
| 4. | To appreciate the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health. |
| 5. | To understand the importance of high school graduation for a successful future, and learn about college and other advanced educational and employment opportunities. |
| 6. | To develop mental management abilities. |
| 7. | To become familiar with military history as it relates to America's culture, and understand the history, purpose, and structure of military services. |
| 8. | To develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team. |

The United States Army's Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, or JROTC, is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. |

Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) is one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of your college curriculum. During classes and field training, you will learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as an Officer in the Army. Upon graduation from Army ROTC, you will earn the bar of a Second Lieutenant and become a leader for life. |
